John Cargill
Classical
Actively playing guitar for around 13 years now. Within a few years John was heading out to play his first gigs when he was as young as 14.. Since then he has been constantly performing original music in various different line-ups across the country and gaining experience with touring the live circuit. As a result of these bands he has extensive studio experience, with highlights of recording at Rockfield and Longwave Studios (Wales), Stakeout and Glasseye Studios (London) and 45 A-side in Glasgow to name a few. John has also regularly toured the UK and performed at various festivals such as T in the Park, Wickerman and XpoNorth with original bands Copper Lungs and Lights Out Dresden.In 2012 he received a BA(hons) Degree in Popular Music Performance form the University of the Highlands and Islands.
John is currently studying an advanced diploma in Jazz at the University of St Andrews and in 2012 attended a placement at the University of Evora in Portugal.
